Ventura Defense Industry Forum

Scott is a passionate advocate for the local government contracting community, with a particular focus on aerospace and defense. After retiring as a Navy officer stationed at Point Mugu, he made Ventura County his permanent home. Recognizing a gap in support for the defense industry and its local impact, Scott leveraged his expertise and leadership to make a difference.

He has served on the boards of several industry organizations across Southern California but found that none adequately addressed the unique needs of Ventura County. Driven to fill this void, Scott founded the Ventura Defense Industry Forum (VDIF), a California nonprofit organization.

VDIF’s mission is to create legal and ethical platforms for building connections, sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas, and fostering collaboration. By uniting defense industry stakeholders and the community, VDIF aims to support the region’s defense base and the communities it touches.
